Jalna, Maharashtra — Digital Health Implementation
How one district moved from fragmented, paper-based health data to an integrated digital platform.
The challenge
Before digitisation, district health teams worked across paper registers, ad hoc spreadsheets, and isolated department tools.
Simple questions on coverage, timeliness, and outcomes required manual consolidation. Reporting cycles were measured in weeks, field teams duplicated effort, and administrators lacked a single view of citizen-level journeys.
- Fragmented records across facilities and programmes
- Heavy reliance on paper and delayed aggregate reports
- Limited ability to monitor indicators or respond quickly to gaps
The solution
7 Mantra for Health Universe was deployed as a district-level data layer with digital capture in facilities and field workflows, plus linked reporting views.
Health modules were prioritised first, then ICDS/WCD and related programme data were connected to review nutrition, immunisation, and maternal-child indicators alongside clinical encounters. Dashboard views were configured for recurring programme reviews instead of one-off spreadsheet compilation.
Integration scope (including ABDM-aligned flows) depends on approved interfaces and data-sharing agreements.
